Role’s Mission Statement

The Head of Finance’s mission is to scale and improve the finance processes as Contorion makes the transition from a grown-up business with low three digit million revenues to an internationally operating business with a revenue run-rate of €500m+ across a diverse array of markets. The Head of Finance should drive a collegiate, collaborative and cross-functional culture via strong communication and with entrepreneurial spirit and work energy.

Tasks for this Role

•  As Head of Finance you lead and develop a highly motivated finance team with currently ~ 11 FTE (~9 FTE in Accounting; ~2 FTE in Controlling).  
• You ensure that our accounting & controlling processes are scalable and support our future international growth. Therefore, a focus of your work is to further develop our processes and tooling infrastructure, especially in Accounting (currently using DATEV).
• You represent the Finance Function in the Management Team and in the entire company and ensure cross-functional alignment and communication.
• You are responsible for implementing an effective cash management and working capital controlling.
• You have ownership for the Contorion business case: together with the controlling team you orchestrate reporting, forecast & budget processes, both within Contorion and with our parent company Hoffmann Group (P&L, BS, Cash Flow)  

Your Profile

• Professional experience: You bring >8 years of professional experience in finance, accounting or a related discipline
• Accounting experience: You have built and led Accounting teams in fast growing companies (ideally eCommerce);  ideally, you also bring experience in an auditing firm (or similar) to ensure ability to understand and identify accounting issues quickly and to manage and drive effective accounting processes and audits. 
• Technical skills: You help your teams by working towards lean and ideally automated workflows; you bring experience in implementing a scalable ERP/accounting software (from a business user perspective); you have the ability to structure and solve complex problems 
• Leadership skills: You have proven to be effective in leading, motivating and developing larger teams; you are a strong communicator who likes to develop solutions cross-functionally and with many stakeholders
• Language skills: You speak German and English fluently
